Program

Thanks to the vision of long time Chippewa Lake residents, Tom Melter and Scott Walchli, the ski team was founded in 1997 on the shores of Chippewa Lake, OH. Members continue to be recruited from Chippewa Lake and many surrounding communities to put on weekly shows for you, as well as ski on our home lake as part of our developmental team. Our team is the only competitive show ski team in the state of Ohio and we compete on a national level every summer.

According to the national show skiing association, "Show skiing combines all of water ski disciplines. Water ski shows are an aquatic Broadway musical, featuring several waterski acts, choreographed to music and builtchipp around a theme that tells a story."

Our developmental team hosts two shows a year, around the 4th of July and labor day holidays, at Chippewa Lake. This team provides water ski fun and exciting opportunities to persons and families that may not otherwise have access to boating or skiing expertise. You read that right, no experience necessary!
