About Chippewa Show Ski Team

The Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show Team is Ohio’s only competitive water ski show team, performing for over 30 years.

Our “home lake” is in Medina county, 1/2 hour from Cleveland and Akron metro areas. Free family friendly shows are provided all summer long, on Wednesday nights, at Emerald Lake in Norton at 7pm. Bring a blanket/chairs and a picnic to enjoy Summer evening entertainment! A rotating schedule of food trucks will be on site for food to purchase as well.

In addition, we have a Developmental team for younger and newer skiers. The Developmental team also produces two shows a year. The winter provides a great time to get acquainted with the Team, learning the basics of show skiing during regularly scheduled indoor practices. There is something for everyone: strength, speed, beauty, and fun are all part of this exciting sport. Consequently, there are many types of water skiing: slalom, barefoot, doubles, swivel, ballet, wakeboard, jumps, air chair, tricks and show skis.
